After work Mojitos in Holborn

Small celebration for those craving a little (a lot) of Sunshine this week, she says whispering... Is summer really here? Tuesday evening was positively balmy, a pleasant no blazer required mid summers eve!

And I can't think of a better way to cool down and lap up the first (of many) beautiful evenings in London with a few favs...

Happy Tuesday! That's a thing right? It is now.

The Fable is a lovely Drake & Morgan concoction (think brilliant decor, cocktails in jars and plenty of sharing plates)

I popped in when it first opened for some reef beef and bubbles & it always has such a nice city vibe to it.

Sarah opted for the portabello mushroom with pesto and olive oil to nibble on...

Whilst a lively Game of Thrones discussion got underway!

Something about Jon Snow...

Then the mains arrived!

Steak sandwich & sweet potato fries (counting this towards my #100healthydays minis the wine and trio of desserts)

Fish and chips

And the (sadly) disappointing chicken in a basket.  Where's the basket guys?

And I did pass the camera to Palms for a snap of her excellent sea bass special with noodles and crispy stir fry veg! But she appears to have just pretended to use the camera ;-)

Loved that all the sides arrived in terracotta flower pots - the presentation was lovely.

As the GoT discussion died a death (phew! Having to admit I've not watched a single episode - not cool) more drinks and more wine and desserts were ordered as we chatted holidays, hen do's and new flats!

And then desserts arrived for the three little piggies

Chocolate brownie, raspberries and ice cream.

Skillet of crumble with a dollop of ice cream

And one little piggy had all three

Not even sorry!

Brownie was amazing. Crumble was pretty damn good too! And I'm not sure what the middle one was - but it had a marshmallow texture!

I burnt some of dessert off with a mad dash sprint back to Paddington (and added to the fit bit step count)

Check out the fable here - worth booking (there were even a few al fresco diners last night.
